第10章 「ヴィトゲンシュタインの衝撃」 n.4- ウィトゲンシュタインの一番弟子ラムゼー 　ウィトゲンシュタインの学説(doctrines)は私に深い影響を与えた。（今では）、多くの点で私はかれに賛成しすぎたと考えるにいたっている。しかし、まず争点（points at issue 論争となっている点）は何であったか説明しなければならない。 　ウィトゲンシュタインの私に対する衝撃は二つの波となってやって来た。第一派は第一次世界大戦前にやってきた。第二波は大戦直後のウィトゲンシュタインが彼の『論考』（Tractatus）の原稿を私に送ってきた時のことであった。彼の後の学説 －彼の後の著書『哲学的探究』（Philosophical Investigation に現われているような学説－ は、私には何の影響をも与えなかった。 哲学宗教日記　1930-1932／1936-1937 （講談社学術文庫） [ ルートヴィッヒ・ウィトゲンシュタイン ] 楽天で購入 あるいは アマゾンで購入 　1914年の始め、ウィトゲンシュタインは、さまざまな論理学上の問題についての覚え書(notes)からなる短いタイプ原稿（注：typescript タイプライターで打った原稿。みすず書房の野田訳の「タイプ刷りの原稿」では印刷したと誤解される。）を私にくれた（送ってくれた）。この原稿は、何度も彼と（手紙で）話し合ったことが合わさって、戦争中の私の思索に影響した。（ただし）その間、彼はオーストリヤ軍に加わっており、従って、私は彼との接触を全く断たれていた。この時、私が彼の学説について持っていた知識は、全く未発表の情報源に由来するもの（得られたもの）であった。この時にまた後になっても、私自身が彼から得たと思っていた諸見解が、実際に彼の見解であったかどうか、私にははっきりしない。彼は、他人による自分の学説の解説（exppositions)を、その人が彼の熱心な弟子である場合でも、常にはげしく否認していた。私の知る唯一の例外は、ラムゼー（ラムジー）（注：Frank Pl. Ramsey, 1903-1930：ケンブリッジ大学トリニティ・こレッジ出身の数学者で数学・哲学・経済学に大きく貢献）であった。ラムゼーのことはまもなく（presently）取り上げるであろう。

Chapter 10 The Impact of Wittgenstein, n.4 Wittgenstein's doctrines influenced me profoundly. I have come to think that on many points I went too far in agreeing with him, but I must first explain what were the points at issue. Wittgenstein’s impact upon me came in two waves: the first of these was before the First World War; the second was immediately after the War when he sent me the manuscript of his Tractatus. His later doctrines, as they appear in his Philosophical Investigations have not influenced me at all. At the beginning of 1914, Wittgenstein gave me a short typescript consisting of notes on various logical points. This, together with a large number of conversations, affected my thinking during the war years while he was in the Austrian army and I was, therefore, cut off from all contact with him. What I knew of his doctrines at this time was derived entirely from unpublished sources. I do not feel sure that, either then or later, the views which I believed myself to have derived from him were in fact his views. He always vehemently repudiated expositions of his doctrines by others, even when those others were ardent disciples. The only exception that I know of was F. P. Ramsey, whom I will consider presently.
